"The River" is the third single from her third studio album. She wrote on Twitter on the 10th of May 2019, "'The River' is out! Feeling that you can't talk about your emotions because pain is associated with weakness, here in my world it's not. Crying can be a happy experience especially afterwards when you feel a bit lighter. That's what The River is about!"
